Tutorial

Giroh's tutorials are carefully crafted to provide players with a smooth learning curve. These interactive guides teach players the game's mechanics, controls, and objectives in a concise and engaging manner.

Adaptive Difficulty

Giroh had adaptive difficulty to keep the gameplay engaging and challenging for players. The difficulty level of the game was designed to increase gradually as the player progresses through the game. This is done to prevent the player from getting bored or frustrated by the game being too easy or too difficult.

Power Up & Abilities Store

The Power Up & Abilities Store in Giroh allowed players to purchase various power-ups and abilities using in-game currency or real money, giving them more control over their gameplay experience. This also served as a source of revenue for the developers through in-app purchases, which can help fund further development and maintenance of the game.

Retry System

The second chance/ save_me system was most likely implemented to improve the player experience and engagement. Losing all progress or starting over from the beginning after a single mistake can be frustrating for players and might discourage them from playing the game further. By providing an option to continue playing after a loss, the game offers players a chance to improve their performance and achieve higher scores. This can motivate players to keep playing the game and ultimately improve retention rates. Additionally, by providing players with the option to view an optional ad or spend in-game currency, the game developers can generate additional revenue through ad monetization or in-app purchases.

Monetization in Giroh was important to generate revenue for the game developer. Ads monetization was used to generate revenue in Giroh, which means that ads were displayed during gameplay, and the developer earned money for every ad that was viewed or clicked on by the player.

My Contributions

As the led game developer for Ingenii Digitalization, I made significant contributions to enhance the game's performance, user experience, and revenue potential. Here is a list of key accomplishments:

  • Debugging and Testing: Conducted thorough debugging and testing, resolving various issues that were affecting the user experience.

  • New Feature Implementation: Introduced the power-up and abilities store, providing players with intuitive and engaging ways to enhance their gameplay experience.

  • Third-Party API Integration: Successfully integrated third-party APIs, including the Ads Monetization system, to generate revenue and support the game's ongoing development.

  • UI Upgrades: Revamped the game's User Interface, making it more responsive, compatible, and scalable across different screen sizes.

  • "Second Chance/Save Me" System: Developed a system allowing players to continue playing after losing by either viewing an optional ad or spending in-game currency.

  • Facebook Synced Scoreboard: Integrated a Facebook Synced Scoreboard system, enabling players to compete with friends and see global rankings.

  • I also implemented data logging of player behavior to study player patterns and behaviors in Giroh. This involved capturing relevant gameplay data such as player actions, session durations, high scores, purchases, and other relevant metrics. By collecting and analyzing this data, valuable insights were gained into player preferences, gameplay trends, and engagement patterns. These insights informed decision-making processes, allowing for targeted game balance changes, improvements, and personalized experiences for players.
